"Agrocen" is an aqueous solution of a greenish-blue color of molecular and ionic complexes of Iodine with associates of synthetic water-soluble polymers and natural mono-, oligo- and polysaccharides. The balanced composition of trace elements improves metabolism substances and increases the body's resistance.
The presence of large steppe areas with numerous mouse-like rodents makes the Almaty region permanently unfavorable for avian hemophilia. American scientists have proven that in rodent communities this gram-negative bacillus can survive for two years, which, provided there is a wild bird as a constant source of excretion (even after a disease, 30-50% of the bird remains carriers for up to 1.5 years) and recycling of this
pathogen makes it practically indestructible.
Existing inactivated vaccines only prevent the development of sepsis (that is, they neutralize the pathogen in the blood), but absolutely do not have any serious effect on the ability of aviabacterium paragallinarum to adhere to the epithelium of the upper respiratory tract, especially goblet cells, and to synthesize exotoxins, which, when penetration inside & nbsp; bind enzymes and cause cell death. The development of intoxication is usually accompanied by the appearance of a "sleeping" bird in the herd, and a decrease in the latter's water and feed consumption.
These manifestations on vaccinated livestock significantly depend on concomitant bacterial infections, also related to toxic infections:
coccal infections and colibacillosis. Against this background, the action of a number of antibiotics becomes difficult, because. not all
Antibacterial drugs during drinking can create high concentrations in the epithelium of AHP. In addition, given the long-term carriage and the constant risk of concomitant infections (such as colibacillosis) as a result of contamination of feed or water as a result of the formation of biofilms, antibacterial therapy poultry enterprises, especially those involved in keeping parent flocks and laying hens, are forced to carry out constantly: 1 time in 3-6 weeks, which naturally leads to the emergence of resistant strains and reduces efficiency antibacterial therapy on broilers.
In addition, the requirements of chapter 6.10 of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code, OIE, 28th edition of 2019, which also
is taken into account and by the compartmentalization of the enterprise, the massive and systematic (prophylactic) use of antibiotics is sharply limited. Therefore, in recent years, general attention has been paid to the search for alternative methods of treatment.
At one time, iodine compounds were widely used in the treatment of diseases caused by Salmonella enteritidis, Pasteurella multocida, (data from A.N. Borisenkova, VNIVIP) Escherichia coli, Citrobacter freundii, Citrobacter diversus, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus citreus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Candida albicans, Aspergillus fumigarus, Aspergillus niger, Penicillum granulatum, Mycoplasma, etc. (The highest activity of iodine was established in relation to Escherichia coli and streptococcal microflora). The activity of iodine against large viruses was also proven due to the destruction of membrane structures and disruption of biochemical processes (Yakhaev L.I., Yakhave M.I., Gus-Khrustalny; Abdullaev O.A., Sergienko A.V., 2015).
But the traditionally used iodine compounds: sodium iodide and sodium iodide are extremely unstable and during storage of feed with these products, iodine losses can reach 50%, working solutions based on them are also unstable, which is facilitated by the presence of light. Good enveloping effect to stabilize and preserve iodine
have starch molecules (developed by Yu.V. Mishanin, M.Yu. Mishanin, A.A. Pryadko (2001)) which was actively used in the scientific development of the drug "Agrocen". This allows organic iodine to be reduced to iodide and adsorbed in such a fork in the small intestine, performing a bactericidal function there.
Inhalation (aerosol) administration of Agrocene allows iodine to directly affect pathogenic bacteria adhered to the mucosa, simultaneously providing a reflex expectorant effect, which allows you to remove mucus with pathogenic microorganisms and their exotoxins from the surface of the upper respiratory tract, preventing the ingress of the latter into the bloodstream and the development of toxemia (V.S. Yarnykh, 1972). At the same time, the sorption of the drug with VDP is 3-6 times higher than when administered orally.
For the treatment of an outbreak of hemophiliasis (diagnosis confirmed by laboratory) resulting from the action of stress factors (decrease in temperature when the birds are transferred from the rearing site) in the parent flock at the age of 23 weeks, which was vaccinated twice with Nobilis® Soguta, manufactured by MSD, was the preparation Agrocen was used by the aerosol cold fog method (the equipment was selected in such a way that
the average droplet diameter was about 10 microns, which allows the therapeutic aerosol to settle on the nasopharynx and trachea, the main target organs for Aviabacterium paragallinarum), based on a dose of 0.5 ml of the drug per cubic meter, previously dissolved in 2.5 ml of water with an exposure of 30 minutes. Improved appetite and reduced respiratory symptoms
signs were detected already on the 4th day of treatment. In total, the course was 5 days, followed by drinking the drug for another 5 days.
It should be noted that the optimal scheme is considered to be aerosol treatments in courses of 3 days, followed by a break of 2-3 days and a repeat of the course. It should be noted that in this herd, until the end of its cultivation, respiratory signs of the disease did not appear in the future, but with the manifestation of intestinal disorders caused by E. coli, this drug was drunk at a dose of 1-2 liters per ton of water, depending on the manifestations a course of 5 days (a toxic excess of iodine was unlikely, since the tolerance to this element in poultry is high and for poisoning iodine concentrations it should exceed the optimal values by 300-1000 times). Perhaps the absence of manifestations of hemophilus infection even in the presence of stress factors was argued by the stimulation of thyroxine synthesis and activation of protein synthesis processes, sensitization of the sympathetic nervous system, and an increase in the phagocytic activity of leukocytes, as evidenced by the development of Soviet scientists.
The choice of the drug was justified by the cost-effectiveness of the product, because preparations based on ethylene glycol required a 6-fold increase in the dosage.
The presence of starch, magnesium and selenium also made it possible to stabilize the presence of the last microelements, which helped to improve the antioxidant properties of the drug, and allowed to reach the planned egg production and hatchability. The need to add curcumin to the preparation was associated with its high antibacterial properties, which can even restrain the progressive development of tuberculosis, anti-inflammatory due to the regulation of the synthesis of inflammation proteins, antioxidant, comparable in action to vitamins C and E, antitoxic due to the stabilization of the cell membrane and improvement of their resistance to the effects of endotoxins.
Pressure form: polymer containers of 1 liter, 5 liters and 20 liters.
